A client of mine recently confessed that she was feeling a little stuck and could use some inspiration. Let’s face it, the nitty gritty of defining one’s unique skill and marketing those skills is a big undertaking. Wouldn’t a bolt of inspiration be just the ticket?
But it occurred to me that when it comes to inspiration, we tend to do things backwards. We wait for it to strike so we can start our work. But inspiration happens when we throw ourselves into the project and start doing the work. Only then do the ideas flow and things start moving.
So bite the bullet, get cracking and you’ll be amazed at what happens.
